St. Jude Neighborhood Health Centers are dedicated to addressing the community’s mental and behavioral health needs by providing counseling in-person and virtual services to help with your mental health needs.

How we can provide care for your family’s mental health

Here at St. Jude Neighborhood Health Center, we take into consideration your mental health and current life circumstances as well as any significant medical challenges that may be affecting your mental well-being. When you enter one of our health centers, you are entering a safe and confidential environment.

If you are in crisis or having suicidal thoughts, please call 988 or go to the emergency department of the nearest hospital.

There are many questions you may have about mental health support but we're here to help answer those for you!

1. What can I expect at my first visit?

A Safe and Confidential space will be provided to support a trusting environment.

Your mental health professional will seek to learn more about you and your current mental health challenges to understand how to help you.

The visit will take between 45 and 60 minutes. This helps the therapist have a better understanding of your treatment needs.

Receive guidance to behavioral health services and what to expect from the treatment tailored to you.

2. What are the signs or symptoms that I may need to seek care for?

• Feeling sad or down

• Excessive fears or worries

• Withdrawal from friends or activities

• Sleeping problems

• Delusions and hallucinations

• Inability to cope with daily activities or stress

• Alcohol or drug abuse
